The EVR Airdrop Has Made Its Debut

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived – the EVR airdrop is officially here!

Every Upholder with at least some XRP in their account before the September 1st snapshot was eligible. A whopping 5,160,960 EVR tokens have been distributed to the XRP community, with individuals receiving amounts of EVR relative to their XRP balances, up to a cap of 50,000 XRP.

For those holding XRP in non-custodial wallets, the airdrop procedure involved a few more steps: registering an XRPL r-address, linking it to Xahau, establishing a trustline to the EVR issuer’s address, and then claiming the airdrop. At Uphold, we simplified this process for our users – all you needed to do was keep your XRP with us and relax.

You can now check your EVR tokens in your Uphold Wallet. Please be aware that currently, we only offer storage services for EVR. We will notify you as soon as trading and transferring capabilities become available.

Introducing Evernode

Evernode stands as a Layer-2 solution on the Xahau Network, aiming to ease the integration of scalable smart contracts into the XRPL through the innovative use of the “HotPocket” protocol and the “Hooks” amendment. This initiative opens new doors for blockchain enthusiasts and developers. For further information, click here.

EVR, the native token of Evernode, will incentivize node participation within the Evernode network and will be allocated through the XRP Ledger Hook.

A hearty congratulations to all who have received EVR tokens! Keep an eye out for further announcements.
